Happy New Year! Christmas was nice and quiet this year. We celebrated on Christmas Eve with Kim, Ed, Shawn and Kaitlyn. I worked until early afternoon so we picked up Pat and Oscars for dinner. Simple and Yummy! The only thing missing was Kelly, Nathan and the boys. We really missed them this year but we talked Christmas morning as they opened up their gifts from us. Shawn had to work until noon or so, then we drove to MIssion Viejo to celebrate with the rest of the family, eat more good food and get back on the road by early evening. Shawn and I both had to work the next day. New Years was even more quiet. I went to bed around 10 and never heard a thing at midnight. Quite the party Animal! I did have that longing I always get to be on the parade route in Pasadena, but I had to work until 6:30 and that's just too late to go to get a good spot plus I can never seem to find anyone willing to brave the cold. I have lots of great memories of New Years in Pasadena. What good times!!
2009 is here and for me the clock starts ticking as I prepair for my move to Oregon. I am finishing my resume to begin my job search which I will be starting very soon. I have decided to rent a truck and move myself, it is just the most cost effective way to go. I am trying to sell some furniture to help lighten the load, I will take my favorite pieces. When I get my own place I will hit the garage sales and Craigslist to replace anything I still need. As you can see from the pictures I have a lot of boxes, 85 or more now. My thoughts were I will have to move them so I will pack them light, which just means smaller boxes but more of them! That's what I keep telling myself anyway. OK maybe just a tad pack rat!! I am stacking everything tightly in my living room so I can see what size truck I will need. I'm a visual girl.
That's it for now. Margi

Your house is looking really packed up!! But you still managed to have it looking cozy and happy for Christmas!! You have got the gift...truly!! Your home is always so welcoming and filled with love! How fun that you are taking all your favorite pieces and starting the hunt for other fun things when you arrive at your new adventure!! I did that with this last move (actually, every move...heehee!) and it is SO fun to start fresh!! OH, I am so excited for you!! I will be praying about just the right job for you! Are you staying with the vet industry or hoping for a different gig??

Well, have a great rain day watching movies!! Loved all the new pics! I plan to come visit you, Sher and Bernie some time after you get settled!! That would be so fun!!!

Make sure to apply at hospitals!! In Chicago I was a HUC (Health Unit Coordinator) and loved it. The pay was great and it would be right up your alley with all your experience...
